Our restaurant was born from a longing for the food we knew from home, for long family meals and for the recipes passed naturally from grandparents to children. When we arrived in Brașov, we brought this very part of Basarabia with us: its flavours, its customs and the joy of welcoming people to the table.
We chose to share the dishes we know best, just as we watched our families prepare them year after year. Pies, borscht, stuffed cabbage rolls, pelmeni and Moldovan desserts arrived with their own stories and began gathering new ones in Brașov.
Some recipes call for patience. The dough rests as long as it needs, fillings are carefully prepared, borscht takes its time and flavour settles from simple, well-chosen ingredients. This is still how we cook today. We keep close what we learned at home and give every dish the time it needs.
For us, food has always been tied to people: to Sunday meals, celebrations, visiting relatives and evenings when the whole family gathered around the same table. This is exactly where the restaurant began, with the wish to carry forward a part of life at home.
We look forward to welcoming you in the centre of Brașov, a few steps from Council Square. This city welcomed us with curious people, eager to discover new flavours, as well as with people who recognised in our menu the cooking of their childhood.
Over the years, locals, tourists, families from the Republic of Moldova and people tasting for the first time a Basarabian pie or a borscht made from a recipe we know from home have all sat down at these same tables.
Two worlds really do meet here: the one we come from and the city where we have continued our story. And perhaps the loveliest thing that can happen to an old recipe is to become loved at a new table.
